About us
Founded by Occupational Therapists, Alexandra Ferro (Engaging OT) and Shiv Bindra (Soul Steps OT). Our therapeutic putty is designed to support children and adults in building strength, fine motor coordination and sensory regulation. Our mission is to provide evidence-informed, OT-designed putty enabling therapy to be purposeful. Empowering individuals of all ages and abilities to move, grow, and thrive.
Our Story
We didn’t realise it at first, but our paths had already crossed, working the same AHA job, attending the same university, and eventually starting full-time OT work side by side. As our friendship grew, we discovered a shared passion for purposeful therapy, and a mutual appreciation for hands-on, client-centred approaches.
Through our work with children, teens, and adults, we noticed a recurring theme in our sessions and conversations with families: the tools available didn’t always align with what our clients needed for effective, everyday use. Some options were a little messy to manage at home, others didn’t hold up to regular therapeutic play, and certain textures or sensations could feel overwhelming for some individuals. Overall, there was a gap between what was fun and what was truly functional for therapy goals.
So we created The Putty Path, a range of strength-graded, OT-designed putties that are purpose-built to support regulation, fine motor skill development, and functional growth for all ages and abilities.
What started as two therapists with a shared vision became a product designed to fill a gap, by creating something that truly aligns with how we deliver therapy: evidence-informed, practical, and empowering.
